It’s also a great option if you want to try out what it was like to shoot at the dawn of digital SLR photography. This camera is in great condition and works flawlessly. The Nikon D1X is one of the first professional Digital SLRs on the market, and it was a groundbreaking camera for its time. In today’s dollars, the cost of this camera back in 2001 was about $7000. It has a perfect viewfinder, a weather-sealed magnesium body, and very good ergonomics. Taking pictures with this camera is pure fun!! The main drawback of these first Nikon DSLRs was the infamous Ni-Mh batteries, expensive, unreliable, heavy, and with very limited capacity and lifespan. This camera has a Li-ion converted battery pack with a capacity of 3300mAh (70% more than the original one and also 100 grams lighter). Besides this, you don’t need an expensive and rarely available Nikon MH-16 charger. By the way, MH-16 can’t be used to charge any Li-ion batteries including this battery pack as well. All you need is an 18650 Li-ion charger. The battery usually lasts for ~1.5-2K shots. And if you want extra power, all you need are two inexpensive ~$10 18650 Li-ion batteries instead of another battery pack. What you will get: – Nikon D1x – 2 x 18650 Panasonic High Capacity 3300mAh Li-ion batteries (Brand New) – converted EN-4 battery pack – basic 18650 charger (which is usable but I’d recommend to replace with a more advanced one.) Shipped fully insured and a signature will be required upon delivery. WARNING:The user must have an appropriate understanding of lithium-ion batteries before purchase.
