He earned great respect after his travel to Spain in 1758, when the King bought his entire stock. Prior to that he had only one workshop in La-Chaux-de-Fonds, but this allowed him to open a second workshop in London, where he started his masterpieces. He later opened a third workshop in Geneva. Highly recognized, Pierre Jaquet Droz, was touring around the world and being universally applauded for his works of art, both horologically and aesthetically.
