eBay Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for a Pioneer SX-636. This includes all the parts you need to rebuild the Pioneer SX-636 power supply board, amplifier board, preamp board, phono EQ board, and tuner board, and includes upgraded replacement main capacitors. This does not include new lights, fuses, or output transistors. I have the light kit available here. The correct replacement outputs are two MJ21195G (replaces 2SA756/2SB531) and two MJ21196G (replaces 2SC1030/2SD371). I have those available here. Please do not buy any Chinese transistors–those are counterfeit and can blow up. This includes the following: 9 capacitors, eight diodes, and three transistors for the power supply board 15 capacitors and 6 transistors for the preamp board 10 capacitors and 4 transistors for the phono EQ board 6 capacitors, four diodes, and 10 transistors for the amplifier board 16 capacitors and 2 transistors for the tuner board One capacitor to replace the cap that’s attached to the tuning meter 2 new main caps (6800 uf 80v, the same diameter as the old caps) Instruction sheet These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts. The main caps are Cornell-Dubilier 6800 uf 80v caps, the other capacitors are 105° Panasonic FC, Nichicon, and Wima film caps at the same uf ratings and the same or higher voltage ratings, the diodes are all the correct replacements, and the transistors are new Fairchild/OnSemi transistors, which are the correct subs for the original transistors. These are the same parts I use when I rebuild Pioneer equipment. I just finished an SX-636 rebuild, which is why I put this kit together. This kit is the exact same stuff I use. The Wima film caps cost more than electrolytics, but they sound better and are definitely worth it. I will include a surprisingly well-written instruction sheet, but rebuilding a receiver is moderately complicated, and you should know what you’re doing and have a decent soldering iron and a dim-bulb tester, as well as a little heat-sink compound.
